Tisane (pronounced tee-zahn) originates from the Greek word tisane. A tisane was a drink made from pearl barley. Today’s Tisanes are a blend of dried herbs, flowers, roots, nuts, fruits, and natural flavors, which are fresh or dried, that have a terrific bold refreshing taste. Add a little sweetener and they make a phenomenal iced tea. Hibiscus leaves and Rosehip are used throughout these herb and fruit blends, which give the added benefit of naturally occurring vitamin C. Hibiscus has properties that help with high blood pressure and helps eliminate toxins and helps with blood circulation. The people in China and India swear by its abilities to help promote a healthy scalp and full-bodied hair. Rosehips are for vital anti aging and well-being.
